Donation Refund Policy
Thixindia Charity Foundation (TISSD) has instituted a donation refund policy to ensure fair and transparent processing of requests for refund of donations as digital payments are becoming more frequent. TISSD
expects that all donors will exercise due thix and diligence while making donations. TISSD also recognizes that a donation may be made erroneously or donors may change their mind. TISSD will examine request for refund of donation
and endeavor to make the refund. TISSD may also seek proper explanation and reason from the user. Also, it will require further verification of the user and need documents of proof as well as for donation.
TISSD is not obliged to make refunds and may, in its discretion, decline any requests for refund of donations, particularly if a tax exemption certificate has been issued.

Your refund request must contain
the details such as Date of Donation, Amount of Donation, Mode of Donation i.e. Credit Card or Online Payment and should reach TISSD office within 7 (Seven) days from the date on which you made the donation i.e.:
The
date on which you Made the donation online, electronically or through other means, OR
The date on which you Handed over the cheque / demand draft to TISSD or someone authorised by TISSD for this purpose, OR
The
date on which you Despatched the cheque / demand draft to TISSD by other means.
The refund credited your account may take time 7 to 30 working days
Eligibility for Refunds
Donations may only be eligible for a refund if they meet certain conditions. These include cases where a donor has accidentally made a duplicate donation, where an incorrect amount was debited due to a technical issue, or where a transaction was unauthorized and completed without the donor’s knowledge or consent. Any request for a refund must be submitted within seven (7) working days from the date of donation to be considered valid.
Refund Request Process
To apply for a refund, donors must provide complete details, including their full name, donation amount, transaction reference number, date of donation, and a brief explanation of the reason for the refund request. Requests must be sent via email, phone, or post to our official contact details as mentioned below. Once we receive the request, our team will carefully review the case and, if approved, initiate the refund.
Refund Method and Timeline
If a refund request is accepted, the amount will be returned using the same payment method used during the original transaction. While we aim to process refunds promptly, the timeline may vary depending on the donor’s bank or payment provider. In general, refunds may take seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days to reflect in the donor’s account.
Tax Exemption Certificates
In cases where a refund is issued, any 80G certificates or tax exemption receipts provided to the donor for that contribution will automatically become invalid. Donors are required to return or destroy such certificates to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Thixindia Charity Foundation reserves the right to amend or update this Donation Refund Policy at any time to reflect changes in operations, compliance requirements, or legal obligations. Any revisions will be published on our official website with a revised effective date.
